HIDY HO!  How are you doing today??  Can you believe it is already THURSDAY???  Well, you know what that means!  YEPPERS, another DIGI DAY challenge at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps forums!  If you are a member or Paper Craft Planet, go HERE!  If you prefer SNR, go HERE!  The same challenge is at both forums to we are sure to find and invite as many people to play along as we can!  This week it is a color challenge of my favorite SUMMER color combo of Pink and Orange! As for my card, I used a new digi called 'Birds and Roses' that you can see HERE in the store!  My papers are from the Bloom and Grow collection by MME and the honkin dew drops are from Martha Stewart/WalMart!  This sketch was inspired from a challenge blog from a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't write it down, so if you know who it is, please leave a comment for me so that the appropriate person gets their credit!  (sorry about that!!)

A manly MAN challenge!

WOW, the week is just streeeeeeaking by, isn't it!???? Summer will be over before you know it! HA!

Here's my 2nd Father's Day card in a row!  This one is for my father-in-law and is a bit more subtle than yesterday's card! (HAHAHAA! Not sure what my father-in-law would think of me if I gave him a monkey cheerleader card for Father's Day, but I know my dad will get a kick out of it!)

Today over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps forums at PaperCraftPlanet and Scrapbook News and Review, they are challenging us to make a masculine card! Sooooooooo of course I knew another Father's Day card would be perfect!  I used this happy HOT AIR BALLOON on my card that also uses the sketch from the Sweet Stop Sketch Blog HERE!  Maybe I will win this week's prize there, now that I am no longer on their team!

I used the CHEERMONKEY to make this cute card for my dad.  Inside it reads, "WHO'S YOUR BIGGEST FAN?  ME!!"  I hope he likes it!

TEXTING!!

HAPPY HUMP DAY!! WOOHOO!  Half-way through the week! WHEW!  I am spent already!  I have to say that those baseball games in the evening are tiring, but MAN can my Eli play ball!  He hit the ball at his finest last night, I CAN NOT even begin to tell you!  AND he got a crucial opponent OUT at home plate, too!  WOWSERS, for a 45 lb. 8 year old, he is AWESOME! 

ANYHOO!  Today is Whimsie Wednesday CHALLENGE DAY at the PCP Forum HERE!  This week's challenge is to use plaid!  So come on out and play!  I used the Texting Teen by WhimsieDoodles.com to make a fun card for the daughter of a friend of mine... shh!  I hope she likes it!

ANOTHER Garden/Flower Challenge!

Here's another challenge for you today!  I made for this week's Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps CHALLENGE!  This week's challenge is 'From the Garden'!  I am sure this means you can use veggies or flowers or whatever is in YOUR garden!  Do you have a gnome or a frog or a butterfly fluttering around in there?  Then be sure to enter into this week's challenge! My card above is using Lilacs for Cocoa on some bright and fun paper by Die Cuts with a View!  I coordinated the Melon Mambo pink papers with some ribbon to make this one bright!  The border punch is by Fiskars and the sentiment is from the Ice Cream set by Sweet 'n Sassy, too!

Poppies!!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!  I meant to share my POPPIES card yesterday but was interrupted by a small medical emergency yesterday afternoon.  My daughter fell off the monkey bars and broke her arm, so we didn't get home until late last night hence the lack of my beautiful card above.  KayLee's fine, but it was pretty painful and scary! 

Anyhoo!!  I saw this style of card from one of my designer gal pals, MELYSSA and just had to CASE (copy and share everywhere) her!  It's a great sketch, check out her cards, too!    I made for this week's Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps CHALLENGE!  This week's challenge is 'using Lace'!  Well, since I didn't have any real lace to use I used a Martha Stewart punch!  Be sure to check out this week's challenge at PaperCraftPlanet {HERE} and/or Scrapbook News and Review {HERE}; there is a great prize to be earned and many friends to be made!

For my card, I used some paper by My Mind's Eye, Chocolate Chip Ribbon from Stampin' UP! and some kraft paper, pretty easy, but wow, what an impact, right?  I showed my KayLee this card last night after we got home and she was Ooo'ing and Ahh'ing!  That made me feel good!!  HEEHEE!

My card above is using a sentiment from one of the digi sets you can get FREE today if you play along by midnight eastern time!  I used this 'FORGET-ME-NOT' image for my focal and used the sentiment from the 'SPECIAL LADY' set below to pull it together.  This card is inspired by this weeks sketch challenge at THE SWEET STOP SKETCH BLOG.  I love Korin's sketches and try to play along each week, it is a fabulous sketch challenge blog!!  I used papers from Die Cuts with a View, Stampin' UP! ribbon and Michael's bling.  Border punch is from Fiskars.

If you don't have time today to join the challenge, no worries, you can still earn a cute COCOA 'De-LIGHT-ful' image FREE by making a Mother's Day inspired card sometime before next Thursday's challenge is posted!!

Here's another card that I made with my Mother-In-Law in mind.  She's a bit more on the clean and simple side and doesn't like things that are too fussy!  So, I used this paper by My Mind's Eye (Out and About line), added a silky ribbon and punched out the sentiment and corner punched the corners.  FAST and easy!

CAS Arbor Day Challenge

HOWDY y'all!  Another sinus headache/migraine had me back in bed yesterday, so I am sorry for not posting another card after Eli's toothless DEBUT below!  Wasn't that cute!?  OH, and before I forget, I will post a pic of my Pepsi soon, too, I have had a few requests for her and since she's ONE now and full grown I guess she should be shown off, too!

Today is ARBOR Day and in honor of that WHIMIE DOODLES is hosting an Arbor Day Tree-Challenge over at PaperCraftPlanet {HERE}!  I used this cute owl image called OWL MY HEART from the Whimsie Doodles STORE HERE for my card.  I used this scrapbook paper by Die Cuts with a View (SongBird set) to place my owl in the tree.  I KNOW what you are thinking.... TONS of empty space, right?? WELLLLL, I am trying to simplify a few cards here and there.  Not everyone loves layers upon layers as I do, so feel maybe I will try to incorporate some more CAS (clean and simple) cards for those followers who like this style!

This card could almost be considered appropriate for the Picture Perfect Creations challenge this week.  My green is a bit darker than the CELERY they are requesting us to use, but still, it's close!  To see more info about this challenge CLICK HERE!

HI MY PEEPS!!!!!!!!  Have you heard the word?  There's well-over 400 members at MELJEN'S DESIGNS' PaperCraftPlanet GROUP!!   Above is the 400-Freebie called VROOM!  Isn't it cute?? This is Melissa's first EVAH car-design and seriously, WHY hasn't she been doing cars already!??  AND I guess you may like to know that we are almost at 500!  And when that happens, YEP, another FREEBIE! 

I used some Stampin' UP! papers and a small little scrolly rub-on that I sliced out of a larger rub-on by American Crafts.  The sentiment was made by using some rub-ons, as well, from Making Memories!  I got TONS of these years ago and am just so glad that I didn't get rid of them! I am using these more often to make my own greeting on my cards! LOVE THAT!

Rain, Rain!

Is it raining where you live?  Well, it was supposed to rain here in southern Indiana yesterday!  AND it was gloomy and cool with heavy winds, so it looked like it was going to rain every minute yesterday!  BUT it never did!

Let's Hear it for the Boys!

HEY DUDE!  Do ya know what day it is!?  It is WEDNESDAY and you know what that means, right?  A NEW challenge at PaperCraftPlanet!!  I am hosting the challenge this week featuring some 'MANLY-MAN' cards! HA!  I chose a masculine theme in honor of my two boys who have birthdays over the next week!  TODAY is my son, Isaac's 5th birthday!  I made this card for him last night using 'RIDE THE WAVE BEAR' that you can see in the store {HERE}and Isaac just loves it!  He had to go wake up his sister to show her his card!! {Isn't that cute!?} 

And for my son Eli who is turning 8 over the weekend, I made this card!  This is a new release digi 'SWING KOALE' that you can find {HERE} in the Whimsie Doodles store!  I used this one for Eli because Koale kinda looks like him!  Plus the wild papers appropriately represent his personality and character! HAHA!

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Challenge!!

HOPPY GOOD FRIDAY!  I couldn't figure out why there was such a traffic jam at school this morning when dropping off my kids!  Then realized that it is GOOD FRIDAY!  Normally we have Good Friday off, of course, and then we even get the following MONDAY off, too.  BUT this year we 'enjoyed' too many snow days to allow us to keep that four day weekend this year, HENCE the traffic jam that went nearly a block!  Well, at least those parents get to plan their Easter today without the kids in tow!  WOOHOO for them!

(I MAY JUST DO THAT!)  I used some Basic Grey papers, Oregon Rain Drops from PINK HEDGEHOG PAPERCRAFTS, ribbon from Hobby Lobby and of course PRIMA flowers!!  Gotta love PRIMA!  The border punch is from SUP!

Whimsie Doodles latest PCP Challenge!

HAPPY HUMPDAY!!!!!!  There's been a ton of excitement going on lately, so I have been a bit scatterbrained!  My kids are home for Spring Break right now and that doesn't give me a break, as I am sure you can assume!  BUT, finally I am featuring my Whimsie Doodles PCP challenge card for this week!

This week we are to use the sketch below and a Whimsie Doodles image (of course!!!) to inspire us to make a fabuloso card!  Well, I LOVVVVE these new papers I picked up at Hobby Lobby by My Mind's Eye!  Although you can't tell the papers are all embossed with glitter!! They give quite a shimmer! LOVE THAT!

I used this cute BabyBear image and a sentiment on the inside!  You can purchase both of these HERE!  I love digis!  I made this sentiment HUGE to fill up the inside of the card!  I think this makes the card EXTRA special!
