Sketch Challenge!!

SugarStick Digital Image: Grandparents
Papers: Basic Grey's Wander Sampler pack

HAPPY TUESDAY!

Another challenge from A Crafty Little Place!  This week it is a sketch challenge!  Put it together with a "masculine" twist and you can enter this week's challenge HERE!  I used Basic Grey's Wander paper line for my card, adding a bit of Not Quite Navy blue cardstock as an accent color.  A touch of twine through my button gives it a nice touch without over-doing it for a MAN-card!  The man image is ONE of two from the Grandparents SUGARSTICKS collection by Lori Boyd!  You can see her images, these papers and the sentiment (Miss You) vertical set in the Die Cuts R Us store HERE!

I think I may send this to my minister that just retired last year.  I really do miss him and I think he would appreciate a personal note letting him know how much he's missed by me and my family!  Miss you, Steve!

Hope you face the challenge this week at ACLP!

Elegant Pumpkins

Who says that pumpkins can't be pretty!?  This cute image is from Jane's Doodles and is available at the Die Cuts R Us store HERE!  Josh is home for fall break which makes me realize that fall really is here although you wouldn't know it by the weather we have been having here in Indiana!  It is FINALLY dipping into the high 60's!  Geez, it was a hot summer even up to this week!  All of our grass is dead due to the lack of rain, too!  In the whole neighborhood, there's not a green blade in sight!  But at least the leaves are turning beautiful colors of red, yellow and orange to liven up the sky!

Anyhoo!  I used some retired Stampin' Up! papers and some scrolly pearls to make this elegant fall card.  The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and I used my trusty ol' Copics to color in the pumpkins!  Be sure to check out more fall images at the Claudia and Company Blog HERE!  There's rubber and digital stamps available, so there's something for everyone, including you!!

Enjoy your weekend!

Color Challenge at ACLP!!

It's another color challenge!  Besides sketches, I love color challenges the best!  Challenges give me a starting point, so this inspiration came easy with these Cosmo Cricket Wanted papers available at the Die Cuts R Us store!  For this challenge at A Crafty Little Place, you are to use Rust, Gold, Blue and Brown!  Be sure to show us your stuff with this easy challenge HERE, perfect colors for fall so why not whip those two together?!

This card is way more clean and simple than my normal style of cards, but I actually still like it which even shocks me!  I am all about layers and images, you know, but this one is stylish with a fun border EK Success punch, a little Martha Stewart glitter down the side and a bit of bling by KaiserScrapbook just perks it up!  AND did you see this So Random Stamp sentiment?  It's so popular right now, so I really enjoyed using it!  I know who this is going to be sent to, too!  Just sayin'!!!!!!!! HAHA!

Enjoy your day!

Inspired by the Fall Season!

Papers: Basic Grey, Indian Summer

Happy Tuesday!  Is it finally feeling like FALL where you are?  OH my!  Yesterday was the first day that felt chilly and crisp... well, until 1pm, then it was 80 again!  I am in Indiana, which normally by now I THINK is supposed to be cool ALL day, but that's Indiana weather.  They say if you don't like the weather in Indiana, just a wait a little while, it'll change!  Not sure if they mean it's unpredictable or if the weather just fluctuates all season long, all I know is that I am really ready for fall!!!!!!!!!

This week at A Crafty Little Place we are challenged to make a fall inspired card!!!  Using my Indian Summer papers (by Basic Grey) available at the DieCutsRUs Store HERE and my Cricut Cartridge of Flourish from WalMart I made this card!  A little bling by KaiserScrapbook (of course) and flowers by Prima (of course!) and ribbon by Prairie Bird Boutique (of course!!!) tops it off nicely!  It has been a long time since I made a card without Copic Coloring, I forgot how fast cards can come together!!!

I hope you pop on over to the challenge at ACLP this week!  You may just win the honor of being in our Top 3!!

Good Luck!!

Animal Crackers!!

Happy Friday-EVE!!!
Can you believe how fast these weeks fly by?
It'll be Christmas before you know it!

I thought I would share with you a terrific paper set by Die Cuts with a View... Animal Crackers!!

When you look at the paper stack cover, you may think "BOY!" only; but as you can see, there are definately papers that can be used for girls, too!!  For you scrapbookers who have children of both sexes like I do, this 12 x 12 paper stack is perfect for layouts! Besides the obvious masculine papers, there's even a few papers that are all pink, a pink/red combo paper with a monkey border, some pink hippos, a pink/brown plaid and another brown glitter dotted paper, too!  So, as you can see this set is very versatile!  Obviously, Animal Crackers can also be used (not just for scrapbooking but) for cards or altered items, too!!

Did you see that adorable Lollipop Gracie, by Lori Boyd?  She's so sweet!  You can have her for just $3.00 at the DieCuts R Us store HERE!!  I used my Copics to color her and added some dots on her dress to match the dotted paper!  FUN!  Flowers are by Prima and pearls are from KaiserScrapbook and ribbon is by Stampin' UP!

I hope my card gets your mojo moving and that you take advantage of Animal Crackers being on sale right now, too!  It's a wonderful set of papers and everything you make with it will be simply adorable!

Make it a lovely day!!
