The Christmas Blues

No, I am NOT sad!  I am facing this week's challenge at the Whimsie Doodles BLOG AND at the Stamptacular Sundays Challenge blog AND at the iCopic Lover Challenge blog!  USE BLUE!!  So, I decided to make this card using some Baja Breeze cardstock (OF COURSE cuz it's my favorite!) with these beautifully soft papers by Basic Grey!  And this Bauble Leah by Whimsie Doodles is such a cutie, so I decided to pop her on top!  I love this wittle angel! AW! 

See below the details of my 'glass beads' ornament and sparkly angel wings!!

Here's HOW I FEEL, uh... my 'Miss You' challenge card using the 'Hang In There' digi stamp!  I am really sad to have to leave my Whimsie Doodles team.  I found the most wonderful ladies on this team a year ago and it will be so hard to not hear from them every day!  So, I will POUT WITH PRIDE as I gracefully bow from of my Doodlelicious role at Whimsie Doodles!  But never fear!  I KNOW how to stalk blogs, so I am sure I will not be a stranger to my fellow original WD team!  Blessings to you all in whatever your future holds!

HAPPY SATURDAYYY!!! 

Ok, seriously, is it almost the end of JUNE???? What is happening!??  These days just go by faster and faster as you get older, don't they!? 

I finally was able to color up this beautiful digi that has been sitting on my desk since forever!  I just love this WhimsieDoodles' Geisha Miyako Tea {see it HERE in the store} girl, she's lovely.  I love oriental anything, from decor to digis, the Asian influence is just beautiful!  I used Basic Grey papers, some chunky cherry blossom embellishments that I found at Walmart along with a new stamp sentiment from Stampin' Up! for this Thank You note. 

My daughter is going to send it to her BFF to say thanks for her birthday presents (a jewelry box and stuffed doggie she now sleeps with every night!)!!  KayLee loved this card, maybe she will appreciate asian influenced decor, too!  I have a busy busy busy week ahead, so I BETTER GIT GOIN'!

This week's Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday's Challenge Blog is to make a pocket card!  I used this Whimsie Doodles BEE WELL IMAGE for this 'Get Well' creation!  Well, wouldn't you like to have this sent to you, if you were sick??  It is so bright and cheery with those Die Cuts with a View papers and that image is suh-weeeeet, am I right??  HA, a little bee that is sick with a thermometer and hot water-bottle on his head, so funny!  You can see THIS IMAGE and a bunch of other uber cute images HERE at the Whimsie Doodles store!

DEBUT DAY and a CHALLENGE

It's my LAST debut day at Whimsie Doodles!  Yes, as they say, all good things must come to an end, and it has, well almost!  I will be on the Whimsie Doodles team till the end of June, and although I will be showing you creations using Whimsie Doodles images, it still means that today's release is my last to promote for WD!  AW, so sad!!

Above you will see my card using Missy's THERAPY image from Whimsie Doodles. com along with some awesome handmade stars that I whipped up for this week's challenge at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays!  Yep, this week, we had to MAKE our own embellies!  Well, mine isn't necessarily home-made exactly.... they are recycled, I guess.  I found these starts in one of my daughter's coloring/design books HERE and thought they would be perfect to color and fold and put into place with this image!  I simply colored them in and popdotted the center of the stars for dimension! EASY PEASY!  The papers are by GLITZ Design, who is as this week's sponsor at SSDS!  They are offering up a prize this week if you play along!

TEXTING!!

HAPPY HUMP DAY!! WOOHOO!  Half-way through the week! WHEW!  I am spent already!  I have to say that those baseball games in the evening are tiring, but MAN can my Eli play ball!  He hit the ball at his finest last night, I CAN NOT even begin to tell you!  AND he got a crucial opponent OUT at home plate, too!  WOWSERS, for a 45 lb. 8 year old, he is AWESOME! 

ANYHOO!  Today is Whimsie Wednesday CHALLENGE DAY at the PCP Forum HERE!  This week's challenge is to use plaid!  So come on out and play!  I used the Texting Teen by WhimsieDoodles.com to make a fun card for the daughter of a friend of mine... shh!  I hope she likes it!

Yes, I am feeling a bit old today.  I officially have a child in their 20's! AGK!!  I think this is where it starts downhill! LOL!  Yesterday was KayLee's 7th birthday, guess I could have posted something about it, huh?  Mother's Day was crazy busy with celebrating both events yesterday and of course today is crazier!  I still need to make cookies for KayLee's class today and also a cheesecake for Josh, too!  But, before getting to those things, I had to make a card for ya!

Today's card is using the new color challenge at PICTURE PERFECT CREATIONS!!  Challenge 12 is to use Bravo Burgundy, Sage Shadow, Perfectly Plum and Soft Suede.  Well, I did pretty good with three out of the four, but bringing in that plum just didn't work!  I LOVE the color combo, but just couldn't pull it together!  SO, when all else fails, ADD BLING! LOL! 

My RAGGY PUPPY image is by Meljen's Designs that you can see HERE in the store and the sentiment is from Whimsie Doodles and is a RUBBER stamp you can see HERE.  The patterned paper is from Die Cuts with a View (Linen Closet line).  I used a Stampin' UP! stamp to add in the burgundy hearts and SUP ribbon in the Soft Suede, you know I have to have RIBBON in my cards!

Whimsie Doodles Sneaky Peek DAY TWO!

There's a NEW digi-line about to be released at Whimsie Doodles!!  This is just one of the new images by Melyssa Connolly!  This is Dottie the Tumbleweed!  Isn't she just as cute as her name??  I think so!  She looks like a little ladybug! AW!

I colored this digi in with my trusty ol' Copics as well as the chipboard "HI" sentiment!  I took advantage of some patterned paper by Die Cuts with a View (out and about line) and placed this circular focal image right over a floral design in the 12 x 12 paper!  She fit perfectly!  I added itty bitty bling where there were already some red glittered dots and folded over a corner and added a clear button that is backed with a checkerboard paper and topped with twine!  Chipboard is by Stampin' UP!

Did you know that Whimsie Doodles is almost about to celebrate their ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!??  YEP, I know, I can't believe I have been designing for Melyssa for almost an entire year now!  It went by just so fast!

Well, May 5th is the BIG DAY!  A huge celebration with TONS of new stamps for your viewing AND purchasing pleasure!!  We are having FOUR days, that's right, FOUR days of sneaky peek previews on various designers' blogs and then we will celebrate BIG on May 5th with a BLOG HOP BLOW OUT!  And what is a BLOG HOP BLOW OUT WITHOUT A BLOW OUT BLOG CANDY!!??!  Mark May 5th on your calendar, you won't want to miss this, trust me!!

Today, Denise, Sheri and I are featuring some new GINGER images and coordinating sentiments!  Isn't this image sweet??  Guess that is appropriate since the sentiment has 'sweet' in it! LOL!  I used some Die Cuts with a View paper (Whimsy Line) for this image since there is a teapot place setting in the paper!  CUTE!!  Did I mention that these two stamps are RUBBER stamps??  YAY, for all of you die-hard red-rubber lovers!!  The inking and stamping of these are second to NONE!  I am still impressed by the crispness of these stamps!  SUPERB!

CAS Arbor Day Challenge

HOWDY y'all!  Another sinus headache/migraine had me back in bed yesterday, so I am sorry for not posting another card after Eli's toothless DEBUT below!  Wasn't that cute!?  OH, and before I forget, I will post a pic of my Pepsi soon, too, I have had a few requests for her and since she's ONE now and full grown I guess she should be shown off, too!

Today is ARBOR Day and in honor of that WHIMIE DOODLES is hosting an Arbor Day Tree-Challenge over at PaperCraftPlanet {HERE}!  I used this cute owl image called OWL MY HEART from the Whimsie Doodles STORE HERE for my card.  I used this scrapbook paper by Die Cuts with a View (SongBird set) to place my owl in the tree.  I KNOW what you are thinking.... TONS of empty space, right?? WELLLLL, I am trying to simplify a few cards here and there.  Not everyone loves layers upon layers as I do, so feel maybe I will try to incorporate some more CAS (clean and simple) cards for those followers who like this style!

This card could almost be considered appropriate for the Picture Perfect Creations challenge this week.  My green is a bit darker than the CELERY they are requesting us to use, but still, it's close!  To see more info about this challenge CLICK HERE!
