Saturday Craziness!

WOW, it is going to be a crazy day today! SOOOOOOO MUCH to catch up on that didn't get done this week due to Spring Break and the kids taking over the house. I have to wrap up some paper-craft responsibilities and then head back yet again to the laundry room.

Yesterday the kids and I couldn't go to the zoo again. It was once again just too brisk for them to enjoy the trip and the clouds made it seem like it was going to rain any minute. SO, we decided to head down to the basement with popcorn and boxes of movie candy in hand and watch their first official scary movie, MONSTER HOUSE. It was really good! PERFECT for their ages of almost 4, almost 6 and almost 7. So, that is how we wrapped up the week!! TOO FUN!

I will be crafting all weekend for fun and for 'work', so I will be sure to have something new for you to see soon! Thanks to everyone for your voting support and for sharing your favorite jewelry stories! If you are still wanting to get in on next Wednesday's BLOG CANDY, be sure to check out THIS POST HERE! And don't forget that if you vote for me (by clicking on that cute tent, and then on the long white bar) just leave a comment on the Wednesday Winner Post to let me know what I am currently ranked (#2 right now!) and that will give you another entry to win the keychain!!!!

Back soon! Enjoy your day!

Precious Scraps #4 - a card!

Well there's good news and bad news. Good news is: I am on Spring Break! Bad news is: It is already half over! AW! (Insert pouty lips here!) I can't believe it is going by so fast!

I had these papers still out from yesterday's 12 x 12 layout, so I decided to tackle today's sketch challenge at SCS with them! This is such a happy set of papers by My Mind's Eye! I love this set, especially the diecuts!! Isn't this tag the cutest evah??

I hope I am making it up to Bev for being the last designer to post some goodies made with these My Mind's Eye Bloom and Grow Kits! Seriously, it has been a tough two weeks! Thank goodness we are on Spring Break!! Please be sure to go to PRECIOUS SCRAPS and check out the Design Team List and go to their blogs, too! There are some AWESOME pages, cards and altered items to drool over!

Have a super day!

Precious Scraps #3 - A LAYOUT!!!!!!!!

SHOCK SHOCK! GASP! It's NOT A CARD!! LOL!!

As MANY of you know, I am NOTTTTTTTT a scrapbooker. I am a card-maker! Well, it took me all afternoon to get this just how I wanted! I used my wonderful My Mind's Eye "GROW" kit that Bev from Precious Scraps sent to me to play with. All papers used in this page (minus the turquoise blue bazzill) are in this kit, including the die cut flowers, leaves and flower centers! I added a splash of dew drops (which Bev has as well) and used my Cricut Expression to make the "Beauty Queen" title, using the Jasmine font.

Surrounding the 12 x 12 layout are some of the other papers that come in the kit! Aren't those large flowers in a row awesome?? Go see Bev at Precious Scraps to get your own kit!

OH, and if you are wondering... this is my daughter KayLee sporting the 2003 tag from my recent van-purchase. KayLee was born in 2003, so when I took it off my van, I knew exactly the photo that needed to be shot! HAHA! Did you see her legwork in the photo, OH DEAR! (Click on the pic to see the details!)

Have a great night!

Precious Scraps Card #2!

As promised, here is another card using the same My Mind's Eye "BLOOM" kit, which is available at Precious Scraps! Bev is working on her online store, but I believe you may be able to snag it now even though the store isn't officially launched yet!

I used a variety of ribbons that I picked up here and there, probably Michael's and Hobby Lobby, to wrap around the floral middle piece of the card. I cut out four flowers and pop-dotted them on top for dimension; and of course I gotta have ME some bling! I used amber/orange rhinestones on the two rows of scallops to give it some sparkle! (Another Martha Stewart butterfly at top/left)

The sentiment comes from a Gina K Designs set called Whimsical Autumn, which was designed by my friend Cammie (Carolyn King)! And the sentiment rings so true, doesn't it?? I am working on a few more items from this kit, so check back soon for more!

HAVE A SUPER TUESDAY!!

Precious Scraps Card!

Here's a fun notecard that I made using the My Mind's Eye Bloom and Grow Kit "BLOOM". Beverly at Precious Scraps has this set available at her store and I am in LOVE with these papers and diecuts that come with it!! The sparkly details are made with Stickles glitter glue and a rhinestone eye. (The branch comes from My Favorite Things). I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the butterfly and Nestibilities for the scalloped rectangle and attached DEW DROPS (also available at Precious Scraps!) to the tops of the buttons as well!!

I have another card coming up in a bit using this kit, but for now go check out Precious Scraps to get this kit, it is seriously ADORABLE (AND inexpensive, just $9.99)!!!!!!!

Come back to see the next one!

Wednesday Winner for APRIL 1st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY! Can you believe it? WHEW! What a weekend it was! Here's the Wednesday Winner crafted of sterling silver, Swarovski Crystals and handmade lampworked glass beads in yellow and a melon red! STUNNING! AND with these colors you are SURE not to mis-place your keys!

I should mention that the honkin' funky key on here is silver-tone, not sterling, that would be crazy for me to give away that for free! HA! I found this cool key at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago and thought it would be a fun addition to a keybling (my word for keychain)! This would be a perfect Mother's Day gift, would it not?

Ok, so how do you win? Comment on this post telling me your favorite jewelry piece you have now. Wedding rings? Sentimental gift? I love jewelry and jewelry STORIES! If you want more entries, posting this on your blog will give you one additional entry and for every time you click on the Top 100 Tent/Banner (at left) and enter the site (just by clicking on the long bar) you will get another additional entry! You can do this every 24 hours!

{Please note that once you enter the TOP 100 Site you DO NOT need to give me a rating OR leave a comment on the site! JUST by seeing my Anderson Arts banner with beads on it, gives me a vote!}

Notice that I am extending the drawing date. It will not be THIS Wednesday, however, but the following, on April 1st. The Wednesday I may be at the Zoo in Evansville with the kiddos, since we are on Spring Break. Plus I just posted it and it would be silly to draw in two days! This works to your advantage so you can spread the word and vote every 24 hours at the Top 100 Jewelry & Beaders Website, too! Every time you enter the site and vote just leave a comment on this post telling me my rank! I am currently on the first page, ranked at 15! NOT BAD!

So, let the games begin! HAVE A SUPER DAY!

Introducing Miss 2003

.... KayLee Anderson!!!!!!! KayLee loves pretending that she is a model or a Beauty queen, so I just had to share her flaunting the year tag to my new van AND her birth year!!! HAHA!

Obviously it is not a NEW van, being a 2003, but to me it is new! AND it is nicer than my last with the DVD and auto dual sliding doors!! Anyhoo... just had to share!

Will post more soon!

Added back the Top 100 Voting

For those long-time blog followers you will notice that the cute little pink, green and black striped tent banner is back at LEFT! Encouraged this morning by an email from a fellow jewelry designer in California, Julie of RockerJewlz.blogspot.com, I have decided to bring back the Top 100 Jewelry Designers banner. Just knowing that she found me on that site after not really supporting it for a while makes me re-think its' benefits of people (and future customers) finding me!

HOW DO YOU VOTE? All you have to do is click on that cute striped tent, which takes you to another screen. THEN just click on the LONG WHITE BAR to enter. That is it!! SO EASY!

Best thing yet is that you can click on the tent EVERY SINGLE DAY! Yep, you can click on the banner one time every 24 hours! WOOHOO! I am not going to be a huge stickler about counting up the votes at the Top 100 Jewelry Designers website, but I will be able to tell if you are really doing it by following the numbers. Don't feel like you HAVE to do this everyday! Just if you want! AND if you want more entries for that week's freebie!

If you click on the TENT/BANNER, just leave a comment on the Wednesday Winner Post that you did so, and I will give you an additional entry into the Wednesday Winner Drawing for that week!

OK, so I am sure you want to know.... WHERE IN THE HECK IS THIS WEEK'S WINNER POST?????

HAHA!

I haven't posted it yet! BUT, if you do care to go ahead and post a comment that you clicked on the banner and entered the site, you can let me know on THIS POST RIGHT HERE NOW! Also, if you want to be entered into the drawing for the keychain (which is coming up) you can comment on this post what your most favorite jewelry piece is... wedding ring? antique gift from your grandma? Let's hear those stories! Be sure to check out Julie's designs, too. She and I are quite similar in our styles!!

Enjoy your day! Thanks, Julie!!

Blog Candy at My Crafty World

My Crafty World has Blog Candy up for grabs! While Tiffany is in Hawaii, she is proposing some major ways to win, so check it out!

Is it really....

.... Sunday? OMGosh! I slept in yesterday, to recover from the lack of hubby since Wednesday. BOY did I need it! I am finally feeling back to normal. I got to make some cards yesterday, no sun left to take pictures of them with, so I will do that today.

NO, the Wed. Winner isn't done... Long story, I ran into a snag, got fed up, went back to the paper. Just don't have any jewelry-mojo right now. I go in spurts you know.

Will post soon, though.

As for life, it is crazy! I have the weekends pretty much covered from now until June, so it is busy busy busy around here..... One of these days life will slow down. Probably when Josh leaves for college in the fall!! THEN I will wish it was busier so I wouldn't notice him gone! I expect to be a mess when that happens, haha!

Have a great day!

Friday, March 20

I know... I know...

... the Wednesday Winner isn't posted.

Single parenting sucks, that is all I am saying!

With Scott being gone, I haven't been able to get crap done! OH MY, it is going to be a long 21 hours until he gets home! I will try my best to get it done tomorrow. NO PROMISES though! I DID manage to get a few things done, just not anything artsy fartsy.

Pray for me... just that I survive with at least a little sanity until Scott gets home!

Have a super Friday!

FULL RECOVERY

That is what I had to do with my computer to get it to start working at all again! A FULL RECOVERY!

For those of you who don't know what that means, don't feel bad, I didn't know what it was last night until I talked to a wonderful Tech Support gal through my Staples warranty contract. AMBER was so awesome, I can't even begin to tell you! Well, we figured out that there was some type of "malware" on my computer keeping it from working and recognizing anything! SO, now I had to save ALL of my files, etc to Josh's computer (using a flashdrive) and then had to LOSE ALL OF EVERYTHING down to factory settings!

I have to re-install all of my software again, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc... Yeah, fun. BUT, at least I have internet AND wireless abilities now! WOW, it is true that you don't know what you got until it's gone, let me TELL YA!

I lost all of everything in 'MY FAVORITES'; all of my favorite blogsites, beadsites, scrapstores, everything. Sad, but it is almost like decluttering... kind of feel like a fresh start has been forced upon me, so it's all good!

WELL, gotta get the crazies up and ready for school! Check back later for something new!

Have a great THURSDAY MORN!

Wednesday Winner POSTED!!

And the winnner is.... CHRISSI! I haven't had time this afternoon to do the video, so I had my son Josh pick a number!!! I took into account those that posted on their blog as well, so this makes CHRISSI the winner!! Chrissi is a fellow design team (in-store) member of Precious Scraps!

I put together a cute little Mary Engelbreit ensemble of a journal, bookmark, magnet and magnetic 'to-do' paper pad. AND of course, I needed to put in something 'stamp-y', so I included some clear stamps and a rubber one, too. Each has flowers to coordinate with the Engelbreit set and its sentiment.... "Sow Good Services; Sweet Remembrances Will Grow From Them." quoted from Mde. del Stael.

Congrats, CHRISSI!!

Check back tomorrow for the March 25th Wednesday Winner!!

Wednesday Winner drawing this afternoon....

.... again life has happened. I spent all morning trying to figure out what is wrong with my computer. I am thinking that a phonecall to my dad is in order. Since he used to work for Compaq and Dell, I am hoping he will know what I need to do to fix what is wrong....

THEN I had to get Scott all ready to head out of town for business and then had to FINALLY go pick up my new Hannah Van. They had to put in a new DVD player, and switch out the tires. Since we bought new tires in December, Scott wasn't about to let those go! SO, we had them switch them onto our new van.

OK<> ENOUGH!

Obviously I am not prepared to draw! SO, once the kids come home I will put together the drawing video and show ya the winner! REMEMBER that if no one claims the SURPRISE GOODIES, they will just be added onto next week's WedWinner, which is a keychain!!

I guess I should go and put that one together, huh? I have had a SEVERLY busy past two weeks and I don't see it lightening up until June. I know what is going on for the rest of March (spring break, including a trip to the ZOO, getting ready for the summer's H.H. Gallery jewelry weekend-showings) and April pretty much (two birthdays, Prom, PostProm, parents traveling in...etc...), then May brings three more birthdays (two kids and the hubby's!), BPA Nationals in Dallas and then of course Josh's high school graduation! All this and I have a non-working laptop; which means everytime I want to post something or email I have to come to Josh's bedroom and raid his!! UGHHHH!

On that note, I better get going! I will post the winner sometime this afternoon or tonight. Apologies for this craziness! I am considering either taking a break from the blogging (which I seriously can't see happening, I like it too much!) or at least putting the Weekly Freebies on HOLD until things slow down. I will think on it and see what happens.

CHECK BACK!

Sketch Challenge and Color Challenge Combo!

Here's a Sketch & Color challenge combo from SplitCoastStampers last week. Rose Red, Always Artichoke and Basic Black were the given colors and this is the obvious looking sketch. I left the top right empty (except for some paper piercing) to let the eye rest from the remainder of the busy card.

I sometimes like to use symbolism in my cards, or try to create movement or even a scene. I was hoping that this card would look like the whale was bringing happiness and good tidings (PINK FLORAL PAPER & FLOWERS) into an otherwise dismal feeling (BLACK). Not sure if anyone ever looks past the initial 'look' of the card, so I thought I would explain this.

My hubby is headed out of town for a few days, beginning tomorrow, so I have things to do to prepare to face the kids 'ALONE (EEEEEEK!)' for three days! So, I will be back when I can!

Have a SUPER DAY!

Have tons to do to wrap up the car-deal today, get monies/plates taken care of, take the cat to the vet (IF I can get him in the carrier), wrestling, and the list goes on!

Wednesday Winner for March 18th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES, I have given up on getting the keychain made and posted.... SO, what NOW???? You ask?

COMMENT HERE ON THIS POST and you will be entered in a single entry for a SURPRISE WEDNESDAY WINNER this next Wednesday! It may be stamping supplies, jewelry, or a custom item.... are you willing to take a risk and try it?????

IT WILL BE WORTH YOUR WHILE!! TRUST ME!

Leave a comment on this post sharing with us how long you have been paper-crafting and HOW you got started! { NOTE: I will have next Wednesday be the new keychain.... so, don't fret! }

Sincerest apologies for not getting the keychain posted. Hubby had to work on our wiring today, I had to do some shopping, phonecalls, deliveries.... then apparently the excitement on the new van made me need a nap! Four hours later.... no keychain! HAHAAA!

SO COMMENT NOW!! Drawing will be on Wednesday at noonish!

Friday, March 13

No, I didn't....

.... drop off the face of the earth.....

I was busy today! I cleaned up my van (took me hours!) and traded it for another. Took a tiny bit of (hubby) convincing, but tomorrow I will be the proud owner of a Luxury AWD Sports Edition Pontiac Montana!!

I hadn't ever been in one of these vans before, so I was reluctant to see it after talking to my dealer just over the phone. BUT when I went out to see it I fell in love with it! Seriously, it is EXACTLY like my Olds Silhouette van, even drives the same, after all it is a GM product...but it is newer! Don't get me wrong, it is no Lexus or Mercedes, but I need a newer van like you have no idea! It is leather, loaded, CD with MP3 hookup, DVD and DUAL AUTOMATIC SLIDING DOORS!! AND it has ALL-wheel drive! Better than my front wheel drive! WOOHOO!!!!!!!

{I wish I could own one of those crossover types, but with having 6 people in this family and with the amount of luggage we have to take (no matter where we go) we really just need the extension of a minivan; WE NEED ROOM!}

For those of you close to me, you KNOWWWWWWWWWWW how much I need this!! Aren't ya just a wee bit happy for me?? I ALWAYS name my vehicle. 'Betsy' is what I have always called my cars... but I told Scott we were going to call this one Hannah, HAHAHA, get it?? Hannah Montana??!! HAAAAHA! I am so funny sometimes!

Anyhoo... sorry about the Wed Winner not being posted yet, but as you can see this was a super busy day! I PROMISE to get it posted ASAP, after the whole car-money-exchanging process tomorrow. Thanks for being patient!

Have a GREAT SLEEP!

Mary has BlogCandy!!

Hey there! Can you believe it is Friday???

Well, one of my fellow blogger friends is celebrating 25k hits!! Please head over to MARY'S BLOG and get in on her candy-celebration!! She has some of the cutest projects and cards evah!

I will be back later to post the next Freebie Wednesday Winner! Gotta go get the kids up for school!

Have a wonderful morning!!

Thursday, March 12

Wed. Winner UPDATE

Sorry there, Peeps! I still haven't designed up the next winner. It is in my head, but I haven't the time to get to it. I have been doing some super spring cleaning in anticipation for just that, SPRING! I need to go through the kids' rooms and DE-CLUTTAHHHH! Oh my gosh, their is no need for more toys until they get to Middle School when I can then donate them to a charity!

OH, and I guess it doesn't help that the wiring in my home is fried where the wireless thingy is hooked up. For some reason the room has no electricity in the walls.... and YESSSSS before you comment, we did check the fuse box, etc... it's not that. We think that the new microwave being hooked into this wiring section of the house has caused it to 'wear out' in a way. SO, until this weekend, I am needing to keep the computer plugged into the wall, and that is in Josh's room!! Yeah.... REALLLLLLL convenient. And for this reason, I haven't been online, bloghopping, commenting or been on facebook either!! Do ya miss me?? HEEHEE!! We also have wrestling and dance tonight, too.... hmm.....

I will post the next Wednesday Winner sooner than later, I hope, but for now, the dryer is calling my name...

Have a SUPER THURSDAY!!!

Wednesday, March 11

Wednesday Winner POSTED!

Whether you can hear the audio or not, WATCH THE VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will post next week's Wednesday Winner tomorrow!!!!!!!!

JOSH IS GOING TO NATIONALS!!!!!

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!

My son is a genius!!!!!! HAHA! He tested at the Business Professionals of America State Finals Sunday and yesterday and just called to let me know!! He gets to go to Dallas, Texas, over his birthday weekend in May for National Competition!

Talk about a PROUD MOM MOMENT!!

Congratulations, Josh!!!!!!!!

Organize your Cardstock SCRAPS!

Ok, so I don't have a card to show you. Instead of joining in the SCS challenge for the day yesterday, I decided to tackle my stash of cardstock scraps! Originally, I had a three drawer rolly-cart (you can see one of the plastic drawers in the top photo); one drawer was for warm colors (red, orange, yellow) and white/cream, another one for cool colors (green, blue, purple) and browns/blacks. The third drawer was used for patterned papers.

Well, my friend Tiffany shared this idea of using an expandable filing system. I had seen it at her house before, but didn't give it much thought. THEN she had an extra file, so I bought it, I think it was $19.00 or something like that. I separated out each drawer (this is just the warm colors) and put the like-colors together. Since Stampin' UP! uses the same 48 colors all the time, along with temporary colors (6 each year), it was easy to sort through them. I can clearly see the colors that I enjoy using the most! HAHA! I don't even think I had a YoYoYellow or Only Orange scrap at all!!

I removed all of the NON-SUP! papers and will keep those in the rolly-cart still, but just in one drawer; I usually keep other lines of papers (Basic Grey, My Mind's Eye, etc) in their original packaging and I have four stacks of 12x12 Bazzill that I keep on the tops of my shelves, with their scraps going in the one drawer. {The other two drawers I plan to use for easy access to loose ribbon (not on a spool) and my Nesties and Quikutz Revolution since I use it alot, but don't want to keep it on my desk.} I then put the stacks together in groups of three or four colors per file section......

And if you know how I roll.... I don't keep my colors sorted in the Groups that Stampin' UP! has them divided into. I usually go with the rainbow system....

Once I got them divided up, I punched out a 1/2" square of the color, and glued it onto the tab of the file section. In the back, I have neutrals: White, Cream, Grays, Blacks, Browns, Kraft....
Then from front to back: Patterned papers in WARMS, Patterned papers in Cools and Neutrals, then Rainbow'ed from Red to Purple..... I have two sections you can see in the middle that aren't being used. I thought I would keep these open for the next "In-Colors" coming up in July. I will add the warm-colors to the 'K' file section and the cool-colors to the 'L' section! I have 56 colors here, PLUS 8 Neutrals.
Unlike other SUP! Demonstrators, I like to keep my InColors for a while. Gives me more selection!! So, I still have More Marigold, Vintage Violet, Purely Pomegranate, etc... So, I have more colors in here than the current ones. AND whenever I run out of one of the retired colors, all I have to do it glue over the 1/2" square with a new color!

What is really cool is that when I go to crops, I can just take this along and have ALLLLLL of my colors with me! I usually do take some full sheets of cardstock that coordinate with the Patterned Paper sets that I am planning on using, but bringing this along, allows me to have at least a little bit of ALL the colors! Thanks, Tiffany, for the idea! NOW I am ready to travel!!

Have a Super Tuesday!!!!

NO monetary donation needed to support fighting U.S. Child HUNGER!

My First SFYTT Card!

Jen del Muro has the best sketches! I am so happy to show you my first 'Sketch For You To Try' card! What do you think??? HERE'S A LINK to her sketch for you to compare to... WELL??? What do you think??

I added Blue Bayou to the Bella Bleu DSP, Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand cardstocks for this card. Of course, coloring with Copics and a little Very Vanilla ribbon to make it sweet! I hope Jen thinks I am worthy of her sketch!

Have a Super MONDAY!

Sunday, March 8

My Case of StampingQueenJUDY!!

For today's challenge on SCS, we were to take a card made by StampingQueenJAR, JUDY, and put our own twist on it. I chose HER CARD HERE and made this one below. Each Sunday, a stamper is featured on SplitCoastStampers, and today was Judy's showcase day!!

I am very excited for her, as she is such a great person and card-designer, too! She always leaves me the nicest comments on my cards, so I like her a lot, LOL!! I also threw in another ColorChallenge (CC196) of Baja Breeze (obviously, because it is my favorite!), Taken with Teal and Riding Hood Red. Gotta love the new dew drops!! I didn't put any white or neutral in my card, to mimic Judy's!!

I didn't follow the sketch exactly (that isn't a requirement), but would have if I had realized the squares were lined up differently before I put them on! OH WELL, I guess that teaches me to print out what I am C.A.S.E.'ing, doesn't it? (CASE means to Copy AND Steal/Share Everywhere).

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!

MojoMonday's #76 challenge!!

Good Sunday afternoon, my peeps! I decided to join in on MojoMonday's sketch challenge this week(#76)! Here's my take on their sketch, and I used a Color Challenge (CC195) from SCS color challenge archives. This one is Very Vanilla, Basic Black and Sahara Sand. I used some cream pearls and Martha Stewart Onyx black glitter to give it some sparkle. (can't really see the sparkle, it's an overcast day, so the light isn't working to my advantage unfortunately!!)

I can't wait to see what tomorrow's MOJO will bring! I am really getting to like this sketch-blog, it has some really awesome sketches, now that I took the time to look into their archives and see what they are about!

I have two more challenges up my sleeves for today, so check back!

Have a great day!

Another SCS QUICKIE!

Here's another card I made for Friday's SCS quickie challenge! YES, believe it or not, I DID make this in less than 30 minutes... {For those of you who don't know me, that is FAST!!} I had out these pre-stamped images from the Fun & Fast Notes stamp set, so I just colored this one in with my trusty Copic Markers, used ALL patterned papers to give it some personality and texture; added a little bling, a little bow, DONE!

I am wondering if there is a color that Baja Breeze DOESN'T go with! Not really, I do realize that Baja and Pink Passion wouldn't work, but you know, it will be SOOOOOOO sad when Baja retires come June! I WILL CRY!

Make it a great day!

Wish him luck!

I just shipped out my son! Josh is headed to Indy for a two-day State-Level competition for BPA, which stands for Business Professionals of America. Last year he didn't place to go to Nationals, but I am thinking that this year he just might do it!

He left here looking all spiffy in slacks and tie, such a handsome fella! His expertise is in spreadsheets (like Excel software) and a couple of other things I just don't understand. BUT, all I know is how proud I am of his accomplishments thus far. Placing FIRST at Regionals/District is awesome and surely speaks to his ability to do well at State today and tomorrow.

Josh returns on Tuesday afternoon, so as soon as I hear what his results are, I will fill you in!

GOOD LUCK, JOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday, March 7

AHHHH!!! Amethyst!

On SCS yesterday we were supposed to make QUICK CARDS!! Well, after going to two crops in two days ( a week ago ) I figured out that using rub-ons is a lot quicker than stamping/cleaning!

Here's a purty little card I whipped up to meet the day's challenge! I KNOW who this is going to today! Who's favorite color is purple???? I know!

Have a SUPAH SATURDAY!!!

Friday, March 6

Wednesday Winner for March 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting back to the 'basics' here! This week's Wednesday Winner is this summery-looking Birthday card; perfect for gift-giving over the next few months! Please don't be disappointed that it isn't another necklace or stamping supply! I will do that all too soon again, though, I promise!

Hmm... How do you win?? Let's see... I KNOW!

Since Spring Breaks are upon us, leave a comment on what you plan to do on your spring break! If you have no plans, then... what do you WISH you could do for an entire week??? Keep it clean; NO wishing that you could find the Bachelor Jason, in hopes that he will change his mind AGAIN to be with you! LOL! {I am so funny sometimes!} Enjoy the week!

Thanks for playing! Drawing will be March 11th at noontime!

Thursday, March 5

For Aubrey 4

Another one for Aubrey! I still am in total love with this Washington Apple paper set from SUP! AND I have found a new lust! DEW DROPS! I mean, I have always had clear ones, but this past weekend, I picked up 6 bottles with a variety of colors in EACH!!! YEAH! Here below, I have used a red and orange dew drop to give it a little bubbly touch!

After looking back at this card, I wish I had made the round scallop around the sentiment orange and not red, so it would have stood out more, but I wasn't thinking! OH WELL! I will remember next time! Live and Learn, right? The sentiment is a rub-on from SUP!

Have a GREAT DAY!

Lady Bug AWARD!!

AW! Cheri Howard honored me with this cute little award!! I so appreciate it! THANKS, CHERI!!

Of course, I am supposed to forward it! Due to time-constraints, PLEASE let me direct you to my blog roll at left!

There are so many bloggers out there that are awesome that I can't possibly put them ALL on my blog, but these peeps are the gals that I love to watch. Whether it be their humor (Stampin' with Di) or their techniques and tips (I like Markers) or their sheer talent (every single one in the blog roll!) I love to visit these gals the most! I try to comment when I can, but if I did every single time, I would never get any cards made or laundry done! LOL!!

SO! If you are in my blog roll, consider yourself awarded with this LadyBug Award, because your blog does make MY HEART SMILE!!!!!!!!!!! So, add it to your blog and forward it to your favorites, too, if you wish!

See you all in a bit!

Wednesday Winner Coming UP!

Check back in a few minutes!

Wednesday Winner WHOOPS!

Sorry Peeps, I totally spaced this week's Wednesday Winner! I don't have time to get everything ready and the video-uploaded for noontime now. I have to get Isaac fed and ready for preschool! AND then there is noone to draw!! SO, I am going to allow new entries until 3pm and then have KayLee do the drawing after she comes home from school!

OOOOOOOH! I almost forgot! I am not only drawing for today's WEDNESDAY WINNER! I am drawing for LAST WEEK'S TOO! I know that there are peeps out there that blog-candy-hop and don't really follow people's blogs, so when the last gal didn't contact me this whole week, I decided she must really not 'follow' my blog and all of its' abundant creativity! HAHAHAAA!

SO, I am re-drawing for the necklace, too! YEAH!!! LUCKY YOU!!!!! So, check back around 4'ish and I will have the new video ready! {NOTE: If I don't, then email me! I might have forgotten again! LOL!!!}

Enjoy the rest of your morning!

For Aubrey 3

Oooooooh, how I LOVE butterflies in the Spring! That, to me, is a tell-tale sign of HOPE that this nasty cold weather is coming to an end! Here's another for Aubrey to enjoy sending to a friend for 'whatever' reason!

Don't forget to comment on tomorrow's WEDNESDAY WINNER! Today is the last day to try to win those cute sets of clear stamps!

Here's a detail shot of the 3-D butterfly. You can see a So Saffron shadow on the white cardstock underneath. I attached the butterfly (with bent wings!) using rolled up mini-glue dots on the spine of the body. AND no girly card is complete without BLING, so I added a few more of those! Check back for a REALLY BLINGY CARD NEXT!

Enjoy your Tuesday!

For Aubrey 2

See the last post below about these cards for Aubrey! She is just 8 years old and is stuck in the hospital, poor thing! Here's one that she can send to another friend. I know these are kind of mature for an 8 year old.... but, I thought that just because she's only 8 doesn't mean she doesn't deserve my best effort!

Have a wonderful night!

For Aubrey 1

My girlfriend, Amy, found out about a little local girl who is sick and hospital bound. Amy had this fabulous idea for us scrappy-girlfriends to make Aubrey some cards to send to her friends that she probably misses!! SO, this weekend I made Aubrey some friend cards! Here's the first! I used Washington Apple for all 6 of her cards, but they all came out totally different! That paper set is so darn versatile!! I just loved it! the white sentiment and swirly flowers are white rub-ons from last year's SUP SaleABration promotion.

I gotta run and take Isaac to preschool, so I am cutting this short for now, but I will be back with another one!

Enjoy your Monday afternoon!

From Kelly

My dear friend, Kelly (SEE HER BLOG HERE), made me this wonderful birthday card! WOW, it is sooooooo stunning! She and I both aren't BOLD BRIGHTS fans, but we agree that this card is just wonderful! Thanks, Kelly! I had a great time with her and a bunch of other gals this weekend, going to two crops on Friday and Saturday!

Here's a SHOUT OUT to Miss Kris F for not being able to go and letting me go in her behalf. You were missed, Kris! AND you won a couple things!! I will see you tomorrow! (Hope Kelsey is better!)

Enjoy your Sunday! Thanks again, Kelly, for my beautiful card!

Just checkin' in!

I am soooooooo tired! I have been at two crops since Friday night at 6pm! I am poooooped!
