EarBLING Lampwork Dangles!

I am posting some Lampwork EarBLING for your sterling silver HOOPS that you have on hand, for those regular customers of mine... If ya need a pair of hoops, add $8.00 and I will send you a pair of sterling silver, lever-back hoops to go with. Then, all you have to do is slip on and off your ear dangles to match your outfit for the day!

NOW, these are dangles are made with ALL STERLING SILVER and LAMPWORKED beads (Glass Beads made by hand with a torch and rods of glass), so obviously they do weigh more than Swarovski crystals ONLY like I usually sell, but once you get used to them, they aren't that bad at all and you don't even notice them on!

If ya want'em, just email me and the first person who does gets them first; I can't make duplicates, so tell me ASAP if you want them for yourself! If I don't hear from anyone tonight, I will take them with me to the H.H. Gallery tomorrow (in Holland) and have them for sale there! I should be out there from noon to 5pm or so. If you need me there earlier, just let me know and I will meet up with ya!

I am thinking I need to have three blogs, one for family, one for jewelry and one for paper. What do you think? I mean, it kind of defeats the purpose of calling my business Anderson ArtSSSSSSS, since I wanted to encompass my love for ALL of my artsy fartsy hobbies... but I am thinking that it might make it nicer for those customers or friends who are just interested in one area of my creations, whether it be paper or beads. Constructive criticism appreciated!

Purdue Boilermaker's KEYBLING!

Eli just HAD to give his teacher, Mrs. Weidenbenner, something Purdue-related, since her kids go to college there and she is a HUGE Boilermaker SUPPORTER!! So, I decided to make her an ever-popular KeyBling, of course! Black and Gold are also Jasper colors, too; so since she has been a teacher in the Jasper school-system for like EVAH, I am sure this will make her doubly happy!

Mrs. Weidenbenner just returned from a medical-leave in time to see the kids finish their 1st grade year, and BOY am I glad! Eli really has taken a liking to her and I can tell that he missed her while she was gone. She was diagnosed with breast-cancer earlier this year and had to take time off for radiation (I THINK). So, needless to say, Eli and I both were excited to see her return looking GREAT!

Details on the KeyBling... ALL Swarovski crystals in Jet Black and Topaz (orange) and Silver Shade; and Swarovski Pearls in Gold and Black, too! Sterling silver sparkles in-between the crystals and handmade glass lampwork beads! Another one-of-a-kind Anderson Arts original! Teacher's Gift Card Set {Part 2}

Good Morning, PEEPS! Here it is, the LAST OFFICIAL DAY OF SCHOOL!!!! I can hardly believe that my little KayLee will be in 1st grade next year and Eli will be a 2nd grader! WOW, how time flies!!

Here's four more of the paper/ink-only cards that I made for Isaac's PreSchool Teachers. These cards are made with the Basic Grey 'PORCELAIN' Paper Series. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the subtle colors of this set. From Ruby Red and Soft Pink to Mossy Green and Golden Yellow, these are so beautiful! The butterfly punch is by Martha Stewart and the Scallop circle is from Stampin' UP! These papers are again available at Precious Scraps! Just email BEV with your desired items and she will get your items out to you ASAP!

Although I used the same simple template for these cards, I used a vast array of stamp sets by Stampin' Up to finish off these greeting cards to give them all a different look from one another; if you would like to know a specific stamp set, just comment on this post and I will reply to this same post with the answer! How's that?

I will post the remaining three cards tomorrow, but will post Eli's teacher's present later today once I download the pic off the camera. Want a hint? Ok.... can anyone say BOILERMAKER?

Teacher's Gift Card Set

Here's the first of three posts showing some simple cards that I created for my Isaac's PreSchool Teachers, Ms. Mehringer and Mrs. Schepers. {I made chocolate chip cookies for the Aides!!}. This paper-line is Wisteria, by Basic Grey. The cardstock is Bordering Blue by Stampin' Up!, I think. Or it may be the other soft gray blue, I just can't think of the name right now....

Anyhoo.... last Christmas I gave these two teachers a variety of my handmade greeting cards and they just couldn't stop thanking me for them, so I decided to do the same thing, but make just some simple(R) notecards for them. No Ribbon... GASP, I KNOW! Just stamping, paper, and some punches. No pop-dots, or even embellies. I didn't want them to have to worry about having to add even MORE postage to the already un-Godly rate that it is now, for the additional thickness of the cards from knots in ribbons or brads. So, thin it is!

This WISTERIA BASIC GREY paper is available at PRECIOUS SCRAPS; who I am seriously LUCKY and HONORED to be a Designer for! BEV is awesome at lavishing me {and the other designers, too!} with SUPAH wonderful papers and goodies to create with!

Like I said before, these are simpler cards, nothing elaborate here, but still, I think ANYTHING handmade is better than store-bought! And these papers make these cards pretty just by themselves! I also put the matching envelope in the picture, if you didn't notice. I always stamp the envelopes for an added personal touch!

I hope they like their card-sets! Check back for two more posts of the other seven co-ordinating cards that I made using the Porcelain Basic Grey paper set that is also available at Precious Scraps!

Still in bed, but I can laptop!

Good Evening, Peeps! I am still confined to my room so that I don't infect the kids with strep (and/or mono).... BUT, I forgot that I didn't share my Valentine Buckets for my two preschool teachers! I took these Prima Clear Paint Can buckets and filled them with Hershey's Bars and Mini-Tootsie roll pops and topped it with a floral lid! Added some ribbon for softness and love and VIOLA! Instant Gift!



I was going to add a belly band around the middle with some patterned papers, and a Candy Label or something, but when you are sick with strep, you do what you can. I didn't even get to make KayLee's teacher what I wanted to! So, I hope she was okay with her Anderson Arts BookBling made of Swarovski crystals, sterling silver beads and a lampwork bead shaped like a heart. If I can find a picture of it in my stash I will post it for you tomorrow.

Until then, I am headed to bed.... UH, wait a minute, I AM IN BED! OK, so I am going to go get a dvd, pop it in the laptop and watch a movie in bed! HAHA!!

As for me, if you care to know... I do feel somewhat better since I haven't had a fever and chills all day, but my throat is still razor-blade raw and my body still achy. I hope tomorrow morning I will be at least a little better, or it is off to the hospital I GO! UGH, and I don't want that at ALL!

Kids' Valentine Packets

For those of you who visit me on FACEBOOK, you would know that I made over 40 of these suckers yesterday. Took me over 6 hours to get them done. Yeah, I know. The things I do for my kids! HA!

Inside each packet is a personally signed Valentine (Scooby Doo for the boy recipients, Butterflies for the girls) and one of those packets of Lick'em Stix powder. {I am sure their parents are going to appreciate that!} I just took a bunch of my bazzill 12 x 12 textured cardstock and cut them down into 3 pieces of 4" x 9 1/2". Then from one end, I scored at 1 1/2" & 1 3/4" (for the flap) and then again at 6". I glued the sides together, stuck in the goodies and then used a 1/2" Ultra Strength THICK ZOT on the right corner (flap) for a guaranteed closure. I used ZOTS again to stick on the heart (heart image from the SUP! Always set) to hold the left side of the flap down. I then slid the tag under the heart and used another ZOT for awesome adhesive. Four zots for each pack is a lot, but I figured I had had these 250 ZOTS from two years ago, I might as well use them up! MAN, they don't say ULTRA STRENGTH for nothin' either, nearly took my skin off!

These were what the kids got, now I gotta work on the teacher's gifts! Better start today, there's only four days left! AGK!

WEDNESDAY WINNER for February 11

Here it is! The next Wednesday Winner for February 11th! For you drifters and newbie-bloggers to Anderson Arts... this is a CellBling or BagBling or ScissorBling or ZipperBling! Personally, I think it is a little too fancy to just put on a pair of scissors so that noone accidentally takes your scissors instead of their own (for those scrappers out there), but if you don't have a cellphone with a little loop OR carry a purse OR EVER wear a jacket, I guess you could just put it on your scissors! HAHA!

This Bling is composed of a beautiful, deep orange-red lampwork bead (with swirls of light blue melted-in), sterling silver rope and daisy beads, and sparkley Swarovski Crystals in Indian Red and Light Azore. All strung on sterling silver wires which are then perfectly looped onto a 2 1/2" nylon black lanyard. YUMMY, isn't it??

Gift in a Bucket

I just found this on Debbie Olson's blog and remembered that I posted this type of bucket earlier this week, that Prima sells. Isn't this a SUPAH gift idea? Debbie Olson is sooooo crafty, you should check out her blog when you have some time to sit down and browse! She has some great gift ideas and card techniques!

KayLee is still home sick, so my postings will be limited today. She just loves to snuggle when she doesn't feel well. Who doesn't?

Periwinkle Blue & Silver

Are you a blue-lover? I noticed throughout these posts this week, that I tend to make a lot in blues and pinks. Hmm.... I need to work on that! I think that I am limited in the other colors just for the mere fact that if I don't tend to like the color, then I don't know how to design with it.

Do you know what I mean? Do you tend to do the same thing?

I think we all tend to sway towards using colors we are comfortable with, right? I mean, I never ever use my SUP! Bold Brights color line with the Red, Orange, Green, Blue basic colors. In fact, I think I still have my original packs of bold brights from 3 years ago and am no where near needing to replace them!

Oh, well! I will pay more attention to trying different color combos! Until then, please enjoy this beautiful periwinkle blue and gray lampwork keybling! Lilac & Daisies

Daisy and Lilac flowers pop into my head when I see this fun keybling! These super cute lampwork beads had an odd combination with an almost orangey-yellow. So, since the Swarovski crystal orange color didn't quite match, I decided to pull the yellow out of the beads. I think the final result came out quite nicely! Obviously, not for the mellow or mild, this keybling is shocking to the eye and is sure to bring some comments AND compliments!

Sand and Surf

Beach lover? Surfer girl? Everytime I see this color combo, I immediately think of water and sand! Aquamarine and a variety of brown crystals by Swarovski (the finest crystal bead you can purchase) sure do sparkle in this OOAK keybling!

This weekend is one of three shows I have coming up this fall! So, don't fret, if you can't make it this weekend, I will give ya details on the others soon! I would post them now, but I am unsure of the hours, so I don't want to give you the dates with incorrect hours, so once I get the times finalized, I will post the deets on those!

Sapphire & Emerald KeyBling

Emerald and Sapphire gem colors are the main inspiration for this keybling! If you have a 'May' or 'September' baby (sister, friend, coworker) in your life, she would probably love this for Christmas! I don't know about you, but as I get older, I find it is getting harder and harder to buy things as gifts for people. Probably because as we get older we tend to acquire more and more each year, which makes us face trying to find something new or different for the person we love so much!

I am so glad that I have been blessed with 'creativity'! I can usually conjure up something even at the last minute, if need be. Seriously, that is something I am truly thankful for!

These lampwork beads in a serene blue and garden green really pull the Emerald and Sapphire Swarovski crystals together in this keychain! Nothing plated is used in this keybling! Rosey Violets KeyBling

VFW show this next Sunday!

Two new 'KeyBlings' have been added to this next weekend's show where I will be selling my artisan items!! If you are local, or even not so local, and care to come see me in person, I will be at the VFW from 11am to 3pm next Sunday!

Located on HWY 231N, just south of the State Police Post in Jasper, the VFW is easy to spot! I will be showing new items all week that will be available at the show! Check out my posts EVERYDAY (maybe even 2-3 times a day!) to get some glimpses of what I will be selling! Everything from keychains and bookmarks to bracelets, earrings and custom (made-per-your-request) items, I will be showcasing it all! I will also be drawing for a gift certificate, too! So, be sure to come out and get your name in on the drawing!

The first keybling here, (minus the keyring, I will add that later), is made of beautifully crafted black and white lampwork beads, sterling silver findings and super-sparkly Swarovski crystals in jet black, white alabaster, crystal clear and crystal silver shade. This Sapphire-inspired keybling is seriously STUNNING! (say that 10 times fast!) Wonderful hues of blue, including the newly added Swarovski crystal color "INDIGO", and Crystal clear Swarovski's really make this one SHINE! I love this one because of the way the crystals just look like they are dancing all around the keychain! TOO PRETTY This one is $38, tons of crystals, perfect lampwork and a lot of sterling brought the price up on this one! BUT, it is gorgeous!!

Two for the Show....

Here's two KeyBlings that will be up and showin' off at this weekend's art show! If I don't sell them you can get dibs on either (or both!!) if you email me first! I am making it simple and putting $34 on each one. I think the lighter of the two (on the right) is worth more than that because of all the sterling beads, but I am soooo tired from getting my items together and pricing and packaging, I am just throwing out a price at this point!

I had an exhausting day with Eli and KayLee at home sick, so today was not productive at all in getting things done. Talk about refereeing fights, I can only imagine what people were saying about me in the pharmacy! Anyhoo.... BUT at least they are fine with just some bronchial congestion and a cough or two. No fevers or painful ear infections, just some sore throats and runny noses and a Funny-Sounding KayLee's voice to entertain us!

Psi Iota Xi - Country Auction - October 14th

Here's an invitation for the locals!! My long-time family friend, Sandy Baker is a past sorority member of Psi Lota Xi and current Vice President of this local chapter. They are hosting a fundraiser on October 14th at the Jasper Knights of Columbus. Monies raised at this fundraiser goes towards wonderful local philanthropic projects.
