Howdy everyone!!!!!!! Don't cha just love opposite colors together?? Blue and Orange is a striking color combo, especially when it uses one of my favorite blue colors, BAJA BREEZE! I so miss seeing people using this retired Stampin' Up! color in their creations!! And another favorite of mine is RUST! I love RUST! Of course this isn't a true 'rust color' on my card, but this orange has a tinge of red, so I thought this card ended up being pretty darn, well, PRETTY!
I used Whimsie Doodles images that can be found in the store HERE! I cropped off part of the boy image to highlight the one chick on his lap; thought it went with the sentiment this way! And I also didn't ticket-punch off the bottom right corner of the sentiment box (like the other three) so your eye would be drawn to the chick, too! I put a big ol' chunky ribbon of Baja Breeze on this, and thought the stitch detail on it went nicely with the chick/farm/country feel of the card!
These papers are from one of the My Mind's Eye paper pads ('Home is where the Heart Is', I think) that I got at Hobby Lobby last Friday. You can see that HERE in the top right of the photo. You can see below, the Copics I used to color my image and outline the word 'Chicks', too.........
I'll be back tomorrow with another newbie for ya!
Have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!
