Clean and Simple with Amber Ink.!!

For my Clean and Simple (YET WAYYYYYY STYLISH) card, I used some images by Amber Ink.!!  The sentiment and gift with a bow are available in the set called 'Your the Perfect Package' that you can see HERE over at Amber Ink.!!  I used just two colors (not including the black outline of the gift itself) of royal blue and white to make this one as clean as possible!  At first I had a bow tied up at the top, but it was too fussy, so I took it off and added some rhinestones in the corner.  I think it looks just great, what'cha think??

CUTE Cuties for a Cause CARDS

Hi!! It's my last post as Guest Designer for Deedee's Digis, so as soon as I saw the CUTIES FOR A CURE digi set, I knew just exactly how to 'GO OUT' with a 'BANG'!!  YEP, I saw this set and immediately starting pairing these mini-digis into sets!  You only see 9 of the 12 digis here on this post, but if you CLICK HERE you will see the remaining three (the frog, dinosaur and doggy) on another card I made earlier this week!

Aren't these just so fun?  I used just black and white for base colors, matched my ribbon to my stamped sentiment and colored in the images using my Copic markers (of course!!).  SIMPLE and STYLISH, don't 'cha think?  AND if you know me, I am NOT about 'simple', although I would like to think I am somewhat 'stylish'! HA!!  And when you purchase this digi set, the proceeds go the the National Childhood Cancer Foundation!  Isn't that great?  I THINK SO!!

Use a DIGI-stamp! Or Two, Or Three....

Happy SATURDAY!  What's better than crafting with a digi-stamp?  Crafting with NUMEROUS digi-stamps!  This week over at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays your challenge is to USE a DIGI!! Easy peasy!  IF you have NEVER used a digi, then you are missing out!

For my card above, I used images by Meljen's Designs!!  I used 'Brooke at the Beach', 'Cutie Crab' and the new 'Sail Away' digi that can all be seen in the Meljen's STORE HERE!  What I LOVE LOVE LOVE about digis besides the fact that they don't take up room on my shelves in my craft-room (they stay on your computer!) is how you can manipulate them in size, shape and color and make little scenes like this one above!  I just inserted these images into Microsoft Word, did some shrinking, enlarging, overlapping and VIOLA!

I used papers by Stampin' UP! to mimic the sand, surf and sky in my scene.  Copics to color, a little dab of pearls for fun and nestibilities and oval punches for the sentiment, not too bad, EH?  GO HERE to upload your 'DIGI-challenge' to be entered for the chance to win FOUR digis of your choice from the Meljen's STORE!  That's right, Meljen's Designs is sponsoring Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays again, so you could just win freebie images from Melissa!

Fish you were here!!

HEY THERE!!  Here's a card I made up for my Guest Designer gig over at Deedee's Digis!  Isn't this set cute?  I love angel fish and you know they are never alone!  So, of course I couldn't just have ONE angel fish on here to color!  NO!!! I had to design this one up with THREE angel fish!!

I am in total LOVE with Deedee's Best Fishes Set HERE!  It is so cute!  Just costs $3.00 AND includes FOUR sentiments!  How's that for a steal?  I did think of another sentiment, 'Aren't You an Angel?', that you could use with this set!  So, there ya go; tons of verstility with this set and that fish is really so fun to color!  I know angel fish are really silver and white, but I thought this would look neat in an orange color to mimic the little fish on my paper! 

AS FOR MY CARD: The paper is actually a DIGI PAPER!! YEP, just for $1.00 you have a limitless supply of this ADORABLE paper  You save it on your computer and can use it again and again and again and... *well, I think you get the idea!*!  This 'iPaper' is available HERE at Amber Ink.!  Go check out these papers, they are awesome, and print so crisp and clean and clear it will seriously amaze you!  Bling is by Basic Grey, paper flowers by Prima, circle diecuts are Nestibilities and the label punch is by Stampin' Up!

Grand Opening!! Amber Ink. Blog Frolic!!

{Here's my 4 x 7 creation using the new 'Can I keep Him MERMAID' that comes with a cute 'Seahorse' you can find HERE in the SHOP!  I also used one of the new iPapers  {in TINY Light Blue} that I am just IN LOVE with!  Check out all of the papers, they are just divine!!  I made the border using a fiskars punch, and used Martha Stewart glitter to make some sparkly under-water bubbles!  I also added the glitter to the Mermaid's body to give her some texture and fishy sparkle, too! {Color choices come from the color challenge at Picture Perfect Creations!}

I was more than shocked to have been asked by 'THE' Amber herself to be on her first EVAH design team for Amber Ink.!!  No joke, I almost passed out!  I couldn't pass up this fabulous opportunity, especially with the chance to work with such a sweetie as Amber!  PLUS her fabulously talented picks for this team and the chance to work with 'THE' Shannan Tuebner, as DT Coordinator, just makes me all tingly inside!!!!!!!!!!!

So, thank you so much, AMBER!  I really do feel blessed to have been asked to be on your team!  Being able to work alongside such talented ladies for the next month really leaves me speechless!  And if you knew how hard it is for THAT to happen, you would know exactly how much it means to me!  LOL!

ETA:  Here's my just finished card using the Rainy Day set available for FREE HERE at the Amber Ink. Shop!  I just love this image and just love the fact that with digis you can tweek them just the way you like.  I altered the rain puddle to be the same width as the focal girly image and then also tweeked the sentiment to fit into an oval instead of in one long verse, which would have been more difficult to design with on this card layout!  Do ya love it??  ANDDDDDDD, if ya looked THIS good in a rain slicker and some awesome green rubber boots, wouldn't you WANT it to rain, too??? HAHA! 

My card was inspired by the Card Position Systems SKETCH #175!!  CPS has the most awesome sketches, so be sure to check them out if your mojo gets stuck!

NEWBIES!

Melissa released FIVE new digis today!  See these supah cute ones at the Whimsy Store HERE!  I love the bear-couple one the best!  She designed that one after being inspired by the older couple in the Pixar movie "UP!".  I LOVE that movie, if you haven't seen it, it's awesome!  Even my youngest son who is 5 loves it as much as my oldest son, who is 20!

Home Tweet Home!

Happy HUMP Day!  We are yet again mid-week already, wow, isn't this summer just speeding by?  I know it feels like it to me!  I thought I would use this adorable Home Tweet Home set HERE to make a little house-warming card for someone who moved in just down the street!  I love this warm feeling digi of the birdhouses on a branch!  JUST SWEET!

I used papers by Die Cuts with a View (The Green Stack set) to pull this one together!  A little twine, a bit of bling and of course COPICS for coloring it in!  When I cut out the digi and placed it atop the patterned paper, the image got kind of lost amongst the branches!  So, I thought that backing it with some of the coordinating dotted paper from the bottom of the card would help make this image POP!  I thought it turned out nice!

Tropical Relaxation!

There's just something about a tropical island drink that makes me want to relax, even without the alcohol! HAHA!!  Even just thinking about summery beaches, surf, palm trees and umbrella drinks make me want to sit-a-spell!

This month I am guest designing for my good friend Deedee who I used to be on a design team with at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!  Well, she has branched out and begun her own digi line and she asked me to guest design for her during July!  So of course wanting to support her and her new business I jumped right on board!  Here's my first of four Wednesday posts of July!  I really enjoy Deedee's Digis!  They really are so fun and easy to color and work with when I make a card with them!  BUT WOW, she really out-did herself with these summer Luau images!  As soon as I saw this LIFE IS SWEET set, I fell in LOVE!  I immediately thought of a lime margarita being served in this coconut bowl! SO FUN!!!!!!

I used Basic Grey's Sultry line of papers, a Martha Stewart ribbon along with a sprinkling of Kaiser Scrapbook pearls up top to finish it off!  Sorry for the late posting, Early Risers!  I just couldn't keep moving last night and had to finish up this morning!  You know how summer is, it makes you lazy!  Well, it does ME anyways!

Happy Anniversary to ME!  I know that is a bit self-serving (sorry!!), but I wanted to draw your attention to these beautiful sentiments in the Wedding Sentiments digi set HERE!  This is the anniversary card (could be a wedding card, too!) that I made my hubby for our 9th Anniversary coming up on July 4th.  I plan to give it to him early on our first 'vacation ever together ALONE' this week!  We are vacationing in Chicago, taking in all of the museums and sites!  I looooove Chicago about as much as I loooooove this digi set that is just full of beautiful 'love' sentiments perfect for wedding and anniversary occasions!  So, be sure to check it out!

On a sad note, this is my last post as a designer for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I have decided to bow out gracefully to focus my attention on re-prioritizing my daily routine to have more time to include homemade meals, making fresh bread, taking better care of the house and enjoying my youngest child's last year at home before being in school fulltime in the fall of 2011.  They grow up so fast, so after giving it much thought, I have decided to slow down and really SEE and appreciate each and every moment I have left with my kiddos!

I want to thank Korin for this wonderful opportunity of being on the SNSS Design Team for the past 10 months beginning with my Guest Designing last September; it seems just like yesterday!  I will miss the entire SNSS team and the closeness we share every day.  Be sure to put Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps in your favorites and visit their BLOG every day for beautiful creations and lovely inspiration by the uber talented designers!!

New Digis AND a New Release!

Did ya hear?? Did ya see??  CLICK HERE!  Meljen's Designs released some cutie patootie images on Thursday, along with a new challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!  Check out the sweet teddy bear with a cast!  That was inspired by MY daughter, KayLee, who broke her arm just before Mother's Day! AW!!  OH!  And if you play along in the challenge, you could just win some freebie digis of your choice from the store HERE!!

Pink & Orange, MY FAVORITE!

HIDY HO!  How are you doing today??  Can you believe it is already THURSDAY???  Well, you know what that means!  YEPPERS, another DIGI DAY challenge at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps forums!  If you are a member or Paper Craft Planet, go HERE!  If you prefer SNR, go HERE!  The same challenge is at both forums to we are sure to find and invite as many people to play along as we can!  This week it is a color challenge of my favorite SUMMER color combo of Pink and Orange! As for my card, I used a new digi called 'Birds and Roses' that you can see HERE in the store!  My papers are from the Bloom and Grow collection by MME and the honkin dew drops are from Martha Stewart/WalMart!  This sketch was inspired from a challenge blog from a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't write it down, so if you know who it is, please leave a comment for me so that the appropriate person gets their credit!  (sorry about that!!)
