WEDNESDAY WINNER NOW CLOSED
BACK SOON!
1,001st POST!!
Here's today's sketch challenge at SCS! I am still seriously IN LOVE with Baja Breeze! I am going to purchase 10 ink refills and 10 packages of cardstock and 10 packages of this paper set when they retire it in July! I love this Parisian Breeze Specialty textured paper set! IT IS AWESOME!!! There are other colors in this paper-set, but I wanted to keep this toned down for a change. THEN I realized my sentiment wouldn't show up! HAHA! SO, I added a chocolate chip rub-on from last year's Sale-A-Bration and also used a dotted chocolate strip rub-on down either side of the triple-box section. (You may need to click on the picture to see that detail!)
This one took me longer than usual, going down to 1/8th of an inch takes a lot of slicing and dicing! LOL! Thanks for taking a looksie!
Well, what are you waiting for?!! Go comment on today's WEDNESDAY WINNER POST and I will draw in just a bit!

Design Team ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
I am one of five new design team members for Precious Scraps by Beverly!! Beverly just opened her own scrapbook store in Dover, Tennesse, which is just a few hours from where I live, here in southern Indiana. And, if that isn't enough responsibility, she decided to add two lines of design teams!!
I am a member of the Online-Team! She will also be announcing soon the members of her Store-Team!! Don't think that being a member of the Online-Team is going to keep me from visiting her, though! I hope to be able to go and scrap and attend events now and then at her store, too!
I will be working with some fabulous gals you may have heard of... (I KNOW I HAD HEARD OF THEM!) They are: Niki Estes, Tammi Bennett, Marci Knecht and an international designer, Claire Brennan from Ireland! WOW, I am sooooooo excited, can you tell?????
We get our first assignments tomorrow, so be sure to check in soon for our new creations for Beverly!

Update and Challenge
So, until then, here's my submission for todays SCS color challenge of Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie and Kiwi Kiss. I FINALLY mounted this stamp set this weekend and was itchin' to use it! These hot colors don't exactly say water, to say the least, but there are so many bright and exotic fish out there, so I decided to make my fish Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie. I used Kiwi Kiss for the seaweed at bottom. I added a boat image at the top of the card by using the bottom portion of the UFO in the By Air stamp set, works perfect, in my opinion!!
No card is complete without ribbon, so I added some of that and a little eyelet-embellishment and I am done! I think doing these challenges has helped me get faster when making cards! And for that, I am seriously grateful!! Click here to see MY GALLERY with all of my cards to view at once!
Here's the detail shot of the image stamped for the sentiment. I used Soft Sky on the entire stamp and then went over the sentiment with Not Quite Navy craft ink so that it would be really easy to read. Doing this gave the fish a watery-shadow!
Don't forget to comment on the Wednesday Winner! Just one more day until the big draw!!

I MADE ANOTHER DESIGN TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!
Botz Family Blog Candy
ROBOT TIRE-TRACKS!! HAHAHA!
Did you see the little round smudge under the tire?? Talk about a happy accident! I didn't have any regular thick rubber bands, so I used KayLee's rubber bands for her hair! You know, those itty bitty baby hair rubber bands? Well, KayLee's hair is so fine and when you purchase them you get like 5000 in a box, so we are still going through those from 2004 when she finally had hair!
Well, when I went to stamp the rubber bands they ended up really thin, so I guess when I pressed the block down, I pushed the image of my finger onto the paper. When I saw the results of the platinum heat embossing, I knew it would be PERFECT for the tire's shadow! How about that!?
Click on the pic for details! Now, who's birthday is coming up???? Hmm.... oh yeah, THAT WOULD BE ME!!!!!!!!!!! I guess I will send it to myself! LOL!

STRIPE SCS Challenge
That is what I had on this card yesterday at SCS. Funny thing is that it only took me about 35 minutes to make this card! OH, for those newbie readers here, I normally take an hour or MORE to per-fect just ONE card! LOL!!! Maybe I shouldn't try so hard, HAHAHAA!!!
Yesterday's SCS challenge was to use STRIPES! WOW, how easy is that? So, I pulled out this new textured To the Nines Paper Set by SUP! and my new Thoughts and Prayers stamp set (sure to be my next new fave, right up there with Baja Breeze!!) and out came this! I don't know how I managed such a pretty card in such a short amount of time! Must be easier when you have awesome paper and a super cool stamp set coming together!

Round Top Box
The paper is from Scenic Route, a stash of paper that I picked up last week at my friends house. LOVE this paper! Feminine but not GIRLY PINK!! The sentiment and chocolate chips are from Oh So Sweet Stampin' UP! stamp set. Does that sentiment ring true to you, too???? HAHA!

Lovely Blog Award
Thanks, Andrea!
To pass this along... of course I am supposed to give this to some wonderful other bloggers!! Well, I just recently gave out an award last week, so I will pick some different people that I do indeed also admire!
Well, I have to say that one right now, really stands out....
Stamping with Di - OH MY GOSH, she is so totally hilarious! Her witty personality shines through her words, please check her out! I should mention that her creations totally ROCK, too!!
Marianne Walker - I haven't mentioned her lately! For those who love Copic Markers, she is ONE GAL you need to get to know through her blog! She shares her tips AND SECRETS to her divine illustrations! And she now has her own stampline, Our Craft Lounge!
Carolyn King - I still love Cammie, she is one great gal, and a NEWBIE Dirty Dozen!! She has wonderful and inspiring creations nearly everyday on her blog! She is a designer for a couple of stamp companies and is published often in magazines, too!!
Rachelle Anne Miller - OH GEEZZZZZZ, check out this gal's stamps! I seriously am in LOVE with her! She's more artistic than crafty, in my opinion, please look at her illustrations, they seriously are to die for!!
Denise Marzec - AKA Peanutbee, is another great cardmaker! I love the fact that she adds an interior design to her cards. I always stamp my envelopes, but she does the inside, as well as card fronts!! She designs for some stamp companies, as well, so you KNOW she is talented!
There's my Five, I could go on, but seriously the kids are coming off the bus as I type! (I sent Josh to go get them, he's super sweet sometimes.... I wonder if he's wanting something... HAHA!)

I WON SOME BLOG CANDY!!
Hope you all had a nice Sunday. I am well on the upswing from my strep-situation, but still kept myself away from the kids so they don't get re-contaminated again! I honestly can't believe that KayLee didn't get it yet! WOW! She does drink a lot of Vitamin C, so I bet that does help her.
Saturday, February 14
Stampin' with Di - OH MY
Hope you had a great Valentine's Day! I am still confined to my room, so all I did was blog hop and play computer games all day... (well, I had to throw in a couple naps here and there, too!) I am getting really good at Mahjong! I am headed to watch a movie with my hubby!

Still in bed, but I can laptop!
I was going to add a belly band around the middle with some patterned papers, and a Candy Label or something, but when you are sick with strep, you do what you can. I didn't even get to make KayLee's teacher what I wanted to! So, I hope she was okay with her Anderson Arts BookBling made of Swarovski crystals, sterling silver beads and a lampwork bead shaped like a heart. If I can find a picture of it in my stash I will post it for you tomorrow.
Until then, I am headed to bed.... UH, wait a minute, I AM IN BED! OK, so I am going to go get a dvd, pop it in the laptop and watch a movie in bed! HAHA!!
As for me, if you care to know... I do feel somewhat better since I haven't had a fever and chills all day, but my throat is still razor-blade raw and my body still achy. I hope tomorrow morning I will be at least a little better, or it is off to the hospital I GO! UGH, and I don't want that at ALL!
Back SOON!

This sketch is found on Page 4! SO EASY!! Really takes out the grunt work This card is going to be given to one of the kids' teachers for Valentine's Day, along with their gift! I am excited about this one, can you tell?? OH, and the color choices are from today's SCS color challenge to use Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss! Great Combo, so SPRING-LIKE!!
Click on the pic below to see where you can purchase it!! And, don't forget to check out Kathleen's BLOG here, she is very artistic with the camera, her garden and her crafts!
I WON AN AWARD!!
Apparently, Marianne (who, I should mention, is employed by COPIC) has been given a ton of 'Blog Awards' in the past that she needed to pass along... well, instead, she designed, created and used her Copics to fashion up this NEW AWARD for her 'Best Commentators'! AND she chose me as one!! WOW, so flattered!
{{AND isn't this award she created just the CUTEST?? Maybe that is why she and a couple of gals got together to create their very own stamp-line, OUR CRAFT LOUNGE!}}
So, to be able to say that I have been awarded with this award from the person who created it, really is soooooooo cool!! So, now I have to forward it on to my best commentators! I love all of the feedback that everyone gives me! So, if your name isn't listed here, don't get upset! I do appreciate ALL of the comments each and every one! But there are some special peeps out there that just make me feel so special! SO! With that being said, check out the following:
1. 2 Guys A girl and a lab - my good friend Amy has a great blog about friends, family and faith - I just wish she would post some of her paper creations and scrapbook pages!! We have sons the same age so we relate to each other very well; and she's always leaving the most encouraging comments for me to read!
2. Robbi - my Canadian Friend, who will eventually get a blog up and running (HINT HINT, no pressure though!!) to show off her fabulous creations always leaves such kind comments! She is also a great friend who supports me often with uplifting advice AND the most hilarious emails ever!! xoxo!!
3. Kathleen Paneitz - she is a wonderful artist (published in tons of mags, too!) and a cyber friend that I have gotten to know over the past year or so. She is so inspiring to me in so many ways! She has a fabulous garden that I envy, she has such a keen eye with her camera it will shock you, and she of course is one of my favorite paper-crafters EVAH! I love getting comments from Kathleen because I admire her talent so very much!!
4. My Crafty World - Tiffany is a local friend and a true blogger, always supporting me with steady comments mostly each day. She is a SUP! demo and has a great blog with not only cards, but scrapbook layouts and other projects, as well! She is a faithful jewelry/gift supporter of mine as well, so I appreciate her bunches!
5. Scrap Happy! - Kelly is a lonnnnnnng-time friend of mine, known that chick FOREVAH!! She is an amazing scrapbooker!! Don't get me wrong, her cards are great, too, but her flair with the 12 x 12's is AMAZING!!!!! Kelly's commenting has slacked off a bit since she has picked up more working hours, but when she does leave a comment, I get a big head!
Now, if you want to forward it, just snag the award and post it on your own blog! OH, and I will break a rule and say that any commentator on my blog can forward it, so we call all feel the love!

Wednesday's Freebie!
Kids' Valentine Packets
Inside each packet is a personally signed Valentine (Scooby Doo for the boy recipients, Butterflies for the girls) and one of those packets of Lick'em Stix powder. {I am sure their parents are going to appreciate that!} I just took a bunch of my bazzill 12 x 12 textured cardstock and cut them down into 3 pieces of 4" x 9 1/2". Then from one end, I scored at 1 1/2" & 1 3/4" (for the flap) and then again at 6". I glued the sides together, stuck in the goodies and then used a 1/2" Ultra Strength THICK ZOT on the right corner (flap) for a guaranteed closure. I used ZOTS again to stick on the heart (heart image from the SUP! Always set) to hold the left side of the flap down. I then slid the tag under the heart and used another ZOT for awesome adhesive. Four zots for each pack is a lot, but I figured I had had these 250 ZOTS from two years ago, I might as well use them up! MAN, they don't say ULTRA STRENGTH for nothin' either, nearly took my skin off!
These were what the kids got, now I gotta work on the teacher's gifts! Better start today, there's only four days left! AGK!

SCS Color Challenge #2
(probably why they call these 'challenges', right?)
Anyhoo.... this card also incorporates yesterday's SCS Sketch Challenge also. I printed out the sketch they supplied, turned the paper over and looked at it using my desk lamp to see it backwards, I guess. Again, you can see the details of this card in my SCS GALLERY. I used the Love Matters stamp set from SUP! This one is still a favorite of mine... great sentiments and images, both!
Don't forget to leave a comment on the next WEDNESDAY WINNER BLOG CANDY!
Show Us your Sheetload!!
I wish I could try to win these stamps, but seeing as how I came up with this month's sketch, I doubt it would be fair! HAHA!

Recessed Window Card
I was determined to get this card DONE for today's challenge, but since I am rushed for time and have so much to do today, this card is a little more simple than what I am usually 'KNOWN' for. (You 'regulars' know what I mean!)
I thought this card would be appropriate since a week ago today we were on the brink of our winter storm that closed school for 4 entire days, and even resulted in a 2hour delay yet today! SO.... here's to sending you....
